Log Inspector
Log Inspector reads and analyzes files you select on your Mac. Log contents are processed locally and are not uploaded to Emotive Studios.
Scope
This policy explains how Emotive Studios LLC ("Emotive Studios," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Log Inspector. It applies only to this product. Any third-party service identified in this policy has its own privacy practices.
Files and information handled by the app
Log Inspector accesses a log file only after you select it through the macOS file picker. The app reads and analyzes the file locally to display, filter, search, and summarize its contents. Because log files may contain personal, confidential, or security-sensitive information, you should review a file before copying or sharing any portion of it.
The app stores display and analysis preferences in local app settings. It does not send log contents, search terms, or analysis results to Emotive Studios.
Clipboard and exports
When you choose a copy command, the selected log text is placed on the macOS clipboard. When you export selected lines, the app writes the export to the location you choose. Other apps and services may access information you place on the clipboard or save to a shared location.
Data sharing and tracking
Log Inspector does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Emotive Studios does not receive, sell, or share your log data.
Retention and deletion
The original log remains where you stored it. In-memory analysis ends when the document or app is closed. Preferences remain in the app’s local container until reset or removed. Exported files and copied text must be deleted from their destinations separately.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, and to appeal or complain about how a request is handled. Emotive Studios does not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. Most information described as local in this policy is controlled directly through the app and your device; Emotive Studios cannot retrieve data it never receives.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request concerning information held by Emotive Studios, use the contact information below. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and services we operate. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device, operating-system account, exported files, and backups with appropriate access controls.
Children
Log Inspector is not directed to children under 13, and Emotive Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the product. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information to Emotive Studios may contact us to request review and deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, its services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the website, the app, or another appropriate notice.
