Work Office

Scope

This policy explains how Emotive Studios LLC ("Emotive Studios," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Work Office. It applies only to this product. Any third-party service identified in this policy has its own privacy practices.

Business information stored locally

Work Office stores information you enter or import in its local database. Depending on the features you use, this can include business profiles; client, contact, vendor, project, task, and time records; estimates and invoices; payments, expenses, credits, refunds, bank transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, tax codes, attachments, documents, custom fields, tags, and activity history.

Emotive Studios does not operate a server for Work Office records and cannot view them. Cloud synchronization and third-party analytics are not enabled.

Camera, document processing, and device security

Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a receipt or document. Text recognition is performed on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Scanned images, recognized text, and attached documents are kept in local app storage.

If you enable app locking, authentication is handled by the device operating system. Work Office receives the success or failure result and does not receive your passcode or biometric data.

Exports, backups, and sharing

Work Office creates exports, reports, invoices, backups, and shared files only when you request them. The file is delivered to the location or app you choose. Emotive Studios does not receive those files, and the selected destination’s privacy terms apply after transfer.

Data sharing and tracking

Work Office does not include advertising or tracking SDKs. Emotive Studios does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or receive your business records.

Retention and deletion

Records remain in local app storage until you delete them or remove the app and its data. Copies exported to Files, Mail, cloud storage, or another destination must be deleted from that destination separately. You are responsible for retaining records for any tax, accounting, employment, or other legal period that applies to your business.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, and to appeal or complain about how a request is handled. Emotive Studios does not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. Most information described as local in this policy is controlled directly through the app and your device; Emotive Studios cannot retrieve data it never receives.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request concerning information held by Emotive Studios, use the contact information below. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and services we operate. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device, operating-system account, exported files, and backups with appropriate access controls.

Children

Work Office is not directed to children under 13, and Emotive Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the product. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information to Emotive Studios may contact us to request review and deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, its services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the website, the app, or another appropriate notice.
